Cambridge Military Hospital Oral Surgery Club
Cambridge Military Hospital Oral Surgery Club was established in 1985 by Col Lionel Kessel. It existed for about ten years. Only those who had served in the Oral Surgery Department of the Cambridge Military Hospital were eligible to wear the 'club tie' a 'had to be worn' item by those attending annual club meetings and reunion dinners. The multiple motifs on the tie depict the clock tower of Cambridge Military Hospital. The thin gold stripe in the design of the tie may be associated with Col Kessel having trained at Guy's Hospital - the Guy's Hospital tie being a navy-blue with a gold stripe.
